“Hello, this is SM Entertainment,
We would like to express our gratitude to the fans who have been eagerly anticipating the debut of NCT NEW TEAM (tentative name) and we are here to announce that Jungmin was chosen as one of the pre-debut members.
NCT NEW TEAM is preparing to meet fans through a pre-debut tour starting on October 8,” the statement read.
The statement continued to explain that Jungmin’s health had become a significant issue, preventing him from debuting with NCT NEW TEAM:
“After carefully considering Jungmin’s health as our top priority, we have decided that Jungmin will not be joining NCT NEW TEAM and will return to being a trainee,” SM Entertainment elaborated in the statement.
